The environment of the pastoral center and pilgrimage home Vincentinum is suitable for organizing spiritual retreats, spiritual exercises, prayer meetings, engagement trainings and other spiritual programs, and a chapel, church and outer space of the complex are an exquisite complement to such programs because they allow you moments of peace, meditation, relaxation and tranquility needed for meditation to meet with God, but also with ourselves. Programs can be held under the guidance of your own spiritual leaders, and if necessary, Vincentinum can provide spiritual guidance by arrangement.

Thanks to its location, Vincentinum is an excellent choice for a vacation for all those who are traveling either as pilgrimage or tourist groups or as an individual pilgrims and tourists, either domestic or foreign (Poland, Austria, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary ...) to the target destinations such as Medjugorje, Senj, Udbina, Trsat, Plitvice Lakes, Krka National Park and more. We are just 3 minutes drive from the highway, yet we are in the heart of nature and peace. We offer everything in one place - rest, food, safe parking and natural beauty. Our pilgrimage home and pastoral center are especially suitable for pilgrim groups since you have within our complex the access to all the necessary infrastructure - the church, the chapel and Calvary in the open.

Family weekend vacation

Vincentinum is an ideal place for family gatherings on weekends in the nature. It is especially suitable for a carefree stay for families with children because there is a grassy playground and a spacious meadow within the complex where children can enjoy themselves both in summer and winter. During your stay you can refresh yourself at our restaurant and we also offer you the possibility to prepare the barbecue in nature for your family.

Cultural and historical landmarks

For lovers of cultural and historical attractions we suggest to visit the landmarks of our region. The parish church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with gothic sanctuary and baroque paintings is a must see – it was proclaimed a zero category monument of culture, we also recommend you to visit the old Frankopan city from the 15th century with a lookout and the bridge on the river Dobra underneath it, one of the oldest river bridges in Croatia, built in the 18th century, at the same time as the historical road Carolina, the first modern road which connected the interior Croatia with the Croatian coast through Novigrad. The history of the parish extends far into the year 1018 and thanks to that, the Parish has gathered the whole history in the parish monography which you can buy from us.

Organizing arrangements for those who want more

Vincentinum is an ideal place if you want to relax from everyday stress through walks in the nature with the birds singing and the sound of waterfalls on the river Dobra, swimming, boating, fishing, hunting, winter joys and many other activities in the nature with good food and good wine. If you decide that you want to get to know our surroundings better, Vincentinum can come up with arrangements for you that will help you discover Novigrad and its surroundings in a completely new way - touring the Frankopan forts, exploring Karlovac - the city on four rivers, a tour to the Museum of the Patriotic War in Turanj and a drive in a military off-road vehicle on the former frontline, a visit to Ivana's fairytales home in Ogulin, a trip to Rastoke – a watermill village, the festival of military classic cars – these are just some of the ideas that may interest you.

Cycling

Near the pastoral center and pilgrimage home Vincentinum there are numerous bike paths which routes you can choose on cyclotouristic maps from Karlovac County Tourist Board. Whichever route you choose, you will enjoy the beauties of untouched nature and crystal clear streams of one of the four rivers and the rich cultural heritage. We have bikes prepared for our guest which are free to use.

Nordic walking

Today, Nordic walking is an increasingly popular form of recreation as it has many positive effects on health, and its great advantage is the fact that this activity takes place in nature. In our environment, there's a large number of trails suitable for this activity, and we can provide education as well as an expert guide.

School in nature, camping...

Thanks to our micro-location in the natural surroundings and spacious green environment, here you will find an appropriate place for the school in nature, camping or any other organized group activity, since we have the perfect conditions for that: clean water, fresh air and suitable ground for tents, contests, games, surveys.
